Ministry to the Mexicans
Three days before the September 11, 2001 attack on America, Brett Frazier, PA, and Betty Witt, RN returned home from Mission, Texas after spending a week working with Rio Grande Valley Baptist Association in their medical missions n Mexico. What a thrill to work along side of such experienced (seasoned) workers, Dr. Pat Betancourth and Dora Fast medical technican. We gained valuable information we would use later in Haiti about how to organize and set up mobile medical clinics without electricity, water, etc.
During the week we spent one day visiting small Mexican churches and orphanages with Ms. Edwina Peroni, delivering much needed food and encouragement.
One day we worked in the well-supplied pharmaceutical warehouse (all donated supplies). The rest of our long days were spent loading and unloading a van and trailer and making the trip across the border to local churches. The pastor's and their families serve as our contact and often help set up, interpret, feed us, etc.
Thank God for the opportunity not only to help and encourage others in His work, but also to learn so much for future missions outreaches.
